About Us

The house built around 1822 is a beautiful reminder of an elegant past. Steps lead to the front door which opens onto a large tiled hallway. A beautiful stone staircase sweeps to the upper floors where light streams down from a lantern window in the roof. All living rooms open off this hall.

Guests have full use of the lounge which provides comfortable seating; a good spot to sit and read. In winter there is an open fire in the period fireplace.

Breakfast is usually served on the terrace or in the elegant dining room if the weather is inclement.

There are three Chambres d'Hôtes rooms each with an ensuite bathroom.

The house is set in five acres of  landscaped gardens with a woodland area and the Garros stream (from which the house gets its name) running through it. Guests will have use of the heated swimming pool.

Chateau du Garros sits a hundred or so metres outside the beautiful village of Fources, a stunning medieval village, one of the Plus Beaux Villages de France. The Plus Beaux Villages de France consists of 152 villages with less than 2,000 inhabitants. They are villages with exceptional settings, man made or natural.
